The Hillside Avenue Historic District runs 27 acres between Watchung and Martine, holding some of the finest turn-of-the-century architecture in Union County. We are the neighbors who look after it.

Membership is open to district property owners, and Friends of HAHD membership is open to anyone in Plainfield who cares about the city’s architecture. Support funds the Luminaries, block projects, research, and preservation advocacy.

Membership is open to property owners within the Hillside Avenue Historic District. Friends of HAHD membership welcomes anyone in Plainfield who cares about the city’s architecture — nominated by two members and approved by the board. There are no dues at this time; support funds the Luminaries, block projects, research, and preservation advocacy.
